Down for the Count

Hello friends, over the weekend I hurt my back. I wish I was doing something interesting that would make for a good story but I was leaning over to pick something up and whammo! It hurt. Now I can barely walk or sit or lay down and I'm whining a great deal. For those of you I owe packages to, can we wait to swap until next week? I'll be trying to check my email over the next few days so please drop me a line. I'm a bit of a useless lump at the moment. :(

Oh gosh! That happened to the husband some years ago. He was bending over playing pool. I had to drive him to the hospital where they shot him full of some painkiller or other.

Hope you feel better soon! Maybe you should make up a good story!

As a veteran to back agony, I want you to realize that drugs are your friend. So is a pillow under your knees when you sleep (on your back) or between them (if you are on your side).

Of course, the best meds are puppy snuggies...

Ouch ouch oow poor you :( I'm a long term back pain sufferer too so you are not whining merely expressing your pain ((hugs))
I hope you're feeling better soon.
P.S. I tagged you hope that helps take your mind off the pain for at least a minute or two. http://cutitandpinit.blogspot.com/

Oh I hope you feel better soon. There's nothing worse than neck or back pain. Take care and can't wait unti we hear about the new swap.

Oh, I'm so sorry! That happened to me years ago. I was just reaching for something and WHAM--pain! The only thing that really worked is to regularly do yoga. Otherwise I still get a pain there. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Ouch! I did something similar while installing weatherstripping around our front door...nothing really helps except time and pain medication. Hope you recover quickly!

Ooooh....you should go to the doctor and then physical therapy where they will give you the most wonderful thing ever....and i'm not even talking about the deep tissue massage...i'm talking about TRACTION....yay traction.

Ug! I have been there. And, like you said, the only thing worse than the pain is the fact that it happened over something so mundane. It would be better if it was from dismounting your pure white pony while on a picnic on the most remote beach....

Sorry to hear about your back! I have had back problems from time to time and what makes me feel better is hot baths and also using a moist heating pad. I do some yoga back stretches everyday, too. I hope you'll feel better soon. (It usually takes me 10 days to feel 100% after my backs goes out.)
