Wow! The hair looks great! I personally prefer embroidered faces on dolls as I'm not terribly handy with a paint brush and b/c buttons can come off. That said, I've seen excellent examples of all 3 so I'm sure you can't go wrong!
I love that hair! I have some face patterns from an old book that has the little women dolls. I could scan them and send them to you for inspiration if you like?
Maybe a wool felt/embroidery combo? Something simple... love the hair! I used to make waldorf type dolls for my daughter, for the cheeks I would take her red beeswax crayon and rub in on my finger, then put a little color on her cheeks - easy to control so you don't get too much. And it stays forever.

Whatever the voodoo look -- it sure makes cute hair on a cute doll! I'm going with embroidered or button eyes -- not normally a big fan of paining on stuffies.
Have you seen the way the Waldorf dolls eyes are done? I think those would be lovely. I must admit, I'm partial to a Waldorf doll face. I think they are so sweet. I love the hair style of your doll. She is beautiful.

I love her hair..never knew how that was done. I prefer embroidered faces too...but I'm sure she'll look lovely anyway she's finished.

That is a great hairdo! I vote for embroidery too. Can't wait to see her all done up. :)

OMG...being the career dollmaker that I am, I seriously need to learn how to do this yarn 'style'. Can you teach me?!!!
Back again! I'll teach you how to do faces, if you teach me the 'doo'
